Starting from a young age, I knew I had a niche for being in a career that had to do with design. In 7th grade I loved to sew, and draw clothing, I for sure thought I would grow up to be a fashion designer. When I was in high school I would offer my services to my peers and do their hair and makeup for events. Whether it was school dances or Halloween parties, I thrived being able to create unique looks for others. This eventually stemmed into me going to The Academy of Design and Technology, and earning my Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design in 2011. I worked as a graphic designer for a short time and quickly realized that being behind a computer screen was just not for me. I wanted to expand my creativity and be able to bring it to life in other aspects. Creating and designing for others is a strong passion of mine, and nothing feels better than knowing I’m using my talent to help others achieve what they want.

If you know me you probably can’t think of me without my husband, Ryan and I have been together for 15 years. Yes we are highschool sweethearts! In 2011 Ryan asked me to marry him. I of course said “yes.” We were young, broke, and just experiencing how the world worked. After looking into actual costs of weddings we knew we would have to go the DIY route as we were paying for it ourselves. I went to town and loved every minute of planning and completing DIY projects for our wedding day. We had a tight budget but with the help from my family and friends we got married in 2013. In 2016 my husband Ryan and I got pregnant with our first baby, a boy named “B”. My love for design didn’t stop but instead grew. I was helping with my baby shower, and designing a room for our baby to grow up in. This then led to friends and family of mine who were also in the same season as I was, wanting me to help them with their interior, family outfit styling, photography, event design, really you name it I was helping. From baby showers and weddings, to 1st birthdays and more I was helping my friends create memories. At that point in my life I knew God had given me many talents. I didn’t know what I was being called to do, or what my purpose was. I just knew I was helping people and passionate about designing my way through life.

In 2019 we welcomed our baby girl “K” into the world. I got to experience all the fun over again. From creating the most beautiful nursery, to her 1st and 2nd birthday I was unintentionally loving and finding every opportunity to make new memories through designing. In the fall of 2021 I heard the holy spirit tell me to follow this passion. With him I am making my passion for designing become a reality. KB event co is named after my kids, we’re a family run business. My past experience of design has shaped me into the business owner I am today and if it wasn’t for my husband, and my two kids K&B, I wouldn’t be able to bring this dream to life. I look forward to working with each and everyone of you and giving you not only a party/event but a memory you can hold onto forever.
